What we keep, which is very little.

Who holds it
The data controller is GW Technologies Ltd, company number 17015256, registered office 61 Bridge Street, Kington, HR5 3DJ, United Kingdom. Anything on this page, including a request to see or delete what we hold, goes to rob@whatsairborne.com.
Pre-ordering
An email address, what kind of site you told us it is, what you said you would want, whether you would like a screen with it, a rough area if you gave one for the receiver programme, and the date. That is the whole record. No name, no address, no tracking of what you looked at.
Nothing is sent to you until you click the link in the confirmation email. If you never click it, the row sits there unconfirmed and is never written to again. Every message we do send carries a removal link, and using it deletes the record rather than marking it as unsubscribed.
The list is held in a Supabase database in the EU. Confirmation email is sent through Resend, which sees your address in order to deliver it. Neither is used for anything else, and the list is not shared, sold or passed to anyone.
The application itself
Airborne does not send us your location, your radius, your sighting history or anything about what has flown over a site. That database is a file on the machine running it.
This website
No advertising and no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to. We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and anonymous: it records that a page was viewed, not who viewed it, and nothing it collects can be traced back to you. The server also keeps ordinary access logs for a fortnight to see what is broken. The live demo is served from a cache that one scheduled job fills, so your browser never talks to an aviation data source and nothing about you reaches one.
Your rights
Ask for a copy of what we hold, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by writing to rob@whatsairborne.com. You will get an answer within a few days, from a person rather than a form. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
